  1. Lack of ownership and buy-in from multiple execs / departments

  2. Lack of clear objectives

  3. Lack of reasonable budget and / or timeline

  4. Lack of training

  5. Lack of actual value provided (due to lack of value-adding integrations and due to all of the above reasons combined)

  6. Lack of proper use (due to all of the above reasons combined)


What do they have in common?

None of the above reasons is related to tech.
They are all related to people.

What’s the biggest mistake?

Not defining what success looks like.

Why?
Not being able to prove success, will by default make it a failure!
