How to integrate your CRM and accounting software with iPaaS

How? A possible CRM and accounting integration

The process consists of the following steps:

  1. Invoice is marked for processing by the user in the CRM.
  2. The iPaaS platform requests the invoice and their line items from the CRM and the CRM returns the invoice data to the iPaaS platform.
  3. The iPaaS platform requests the account information from the CRM for the invoice and the CRM returns the account data to the iPaaS platform.
  4. The iPaaS platform checks for the matching account in the accounting software.
  5. If the account does not exist in the accounting software, the iPaaS platform creates a new account, using the data from the CRM.
  6. If the account exists in the accounting software, the iPaaS platform updates the existing account, using the data from the CRM.
  7. If the account is newly created, the iPaaS platform updates the CRM with the account id from the accounting software for the account, for future updates.
  8. The iPaaS platform creates an invoice draft in the accounting software using the invoice data from the CRM and links it to the corresponding account in the CRM.
  9. The iPaaS platform updates the CRM with the invoice ID, number, and URL from the accounting software for the invoice.
  10. The user within the CRM can click on the URL of the invoice to open the synchronized matching record.
